By taking an active role in this year’s Strikes for Tikes event, you are truly making a difference in the life of a child.
As a team captain, we ask that you:
1. Contact the Kiwanis Center for Child Development at 668-9070 to register your team. You may also register on-line at www.strikesfortikes.org
2. Ask three other people to join your team.
- Tell them of all the terrific prizes they could win.
- Remind them it’s a party…free bowling, free shoe rental, even free food.
- Your teammates can be anyone…such as co-workers, friends, spouses, church members, clients, relatives, etc.
- The majority of Strikes for Tikes bowlers do not bowl regularly.
- Adaptive bowling equipment will be available for individuals with disabilities. If adaptive bowling is needed for any member of your team, please inform the Center when you submit your team roster.
Your team will bowl one game that will last for 45 minutes to one hour. Prizes will be given away during each hour. Prizes will be awarded to the individuals who raise the most money.
3. Fax (731-668-6549) or email (Claire.Moss@wth.org) your team roster as soon as possible. A Team Captain packet will be sent to you with all the materials your team members will need including sponsor envelopes.
4. Set a goal for your team. Give each of your team members a sponsor envelope to complete. Ask each bowler to raise at least $100, which earns them a free t-shirt. Raise $200 and receive a free sweatshirt. It’s easy to do…you ask others to sponsor you to bowl and collect the money in the envelope. REMEMBER…It’s a fundraiser…It’s not about bowling, it’s about kids!
5. Bring your completed Sponsor Envelope to the bowling center approximately 30 minutes before your scheduled bowling time.
6. Enjoy the party including free bowling, food and prizes!
